Participated in the development of the legislation to recover of statehood since 1988

Vice president of the Parliament, leader of fractions, committees and foreign delegations in the Parliament and Supreme Soviet.

Member of the program committee and governing body of the Estonian People’s Front

Lecturer at the Economics Institute Mainor, Audentes-Mainor, Academy Nord, 1990-1995

Has organised conferences and seminars, published articles on legal and political matters since 1987, held lectures on legal and regional politics and national defence.

Author of the main documents of the first restored sports organisations (including the Estonian Football Association and the Estonian Olympic Committee)

Today takes part in the running of many non-profit associations, including Sports Club North Star (Põhjatäht)

Has received the following state awards: the Order of the White Star V class, the Order of the National Coat of Arms III class, medal ’10 years of the restored Estonian Defence Forces’.
